The DC Selects Hockey Club was formed in 2010 as an avenue for top players from the greater DC area to develop their skills and showcase their talent on a national level.
Our players compete and practice at the highest possible level in the spring months. Our organization strives to produce the best possible combination of coaching and training in the region.
The DC Selects Staff focuses on skill development, discipline, tactical awareness, and team play. Our main objective is to create an environment that is conducive to player development and success at the next level.
Our general set-up is eight practices and two tournaments. We try to have four practices prior to each tournament.
The 2026 DC Selects lineup will consist of CO-ED teams at:
- 9U & 10U (2016-17 Birth Years) AA/A/B Teams
- 11U & 12U (2014-15 Birth Years) AA/A/B Teams
- 13U & 14U (2012-13 Birth Years) AA/A/B Teams
- 15U AA (2011 Birth Year)
- 16U AA (2010-11 Birth Years)
The DC Selects will again offer the popular 8U Elite Skills program (2021, 2020, 2019 & 2018 birth year players), which consists of 20 high-level, on-ice training sessions. The 8U Elite Skills program will have goalie coaching available for players who are part-time and/or full-time goalies. You do not have to declare goalie or skater and can pick and choose which practices you want to show up as goalie.
There are no tryouts for 8U, 15U and 16U. To be considered for a 15U, 16U or 18U team please send a message to DC Selects Coaching Director Rob Keegan.
The DC Selects are based exclusively at Rockville Ice but we reserve the right to move ice slots if necessary.
Pricing for 2026:
8U Elite Skills - $895
Goalie Registration (10U-16U) - $250 (no goalie-specific training)
Team Registration - $895
New DC Selects players will need to buy a uniform package (there is no uniform package for 8U Elite Skills). Returning players will have the opportunity to purchase a uniform package if they have lost or outgrown their existing uniform items. Uniform packages are $95 each and are ordered during the program registration process (after tryouts and after you have been notified).
